McCown Conservatory is an active corporate member of the Music Teachers’ National Association. Through this membership we are able to offer our teachers continuing educational opportunities and certifications along with numerous opportunities for our students to participate in an array of local recitals, competitions, and festivals!

About McCown Conservatory LLC

Who We Are

McCown Conservatory is rooted in the legacy of Leslie Cozakas, who began teaching music from her home in Waxahachie, Texas, in 2018. What started as a small endeavor quickly grew into a flourishing school with over 150 students in just one year. Originally known as Leslie’s School of Music, it served the local community with a warm, family-style approach to music education, offering high-quality instruction and a deep sense of connection through the arts.
